Minecraft Bedrock Edition: How Long Do Items Take to Despawn?
Note that you will lose everything you have gathered if you die in a lava pit, fire, and any other form of flame. This also applies when something is dropped and you don’t pick it up within a certain amount of time.
Despawning in Minecraft usually happens after 6,000 game ticks have passed. Every second of real-time is equal to 20 game ticks. We’ll do the math for you: you have five minutes to pick up any dropped items before they disappear. Once they do, there is no way to get them back as they are permanently deleted from the server. This is done to improve game optimization.
If the player who created the world dies, everything gets scrapped.
How to Prevent Items from Despawning in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
It is not all bleak in the land of bricks and pixels, though. There are ways to prevent items from despawning:
Keep items in chests as they won’t despawn.
Don’t load the Chunk you died in. Bear in mind that the 6,000 ticks won’t start if you don’t load the Chunk. Choose a different dimension as your new location so the time won’t run.
Items despawn after 6000 game ticks (5 minutes) of being in a loaded, entity-ticking chunk; this is affected by the player's simulation distance. If two item stacks merge, the timer is set to the item that has more time remaining. The 5-minute timer is paused when the chunk is unloaded or no longer processing entities.
By default, you return to the world spawn point. The items you were carrying before will be left at the spot where you were defeated, and you have a limited time to get them back. This is pretty technical, but you have 5 minutes to retrieve your inventory from when the place you dropped them is loaded.
Whenever a player dies, their items will be scattered on the floor in a circle where they died. After 6000 in-game ticks or exactly five minutes, the items will despawn.
Bedrock generates as part of important structures in the End, including crucial elements of the ender dragon fight, as well as the gateways and the exit portals, in order to prevent them from being broken and keep them accessible and usable. Mobs do not spawn on bedrock.

Nights in Minecraft last roughly seven minutes. At 10 minutes and 30 seconds into the day, you can use a bed to sleep in until morning. Midnight comes at the 15-minute mark, and then the sun starts to rise a few minutes later. You get another few minutes of light before the new day begins.
Why did my items disappear in Minecraft? Any items on the ground despawn after five minutes, a way to avoid this is to have a water channel that takes the items to an unloaded chunk. This will stop the timer until you enter that chunk, keeping your items on the ground until you need them again.
If the chunk in which the item is dropped is not loaded, then the item will stay there forever. However, once the chunk and the items inside of it loads, you have a timer of 5 minutes to retrieve the items or lose them forever.
Realms worlds use a simulation distance of 9 chunks in Java Edition and 4 chunks in Bedrock Edition. Regardless of simulation distance, mobs with persistence do not despawn, and fish always despawn when they are more than 40 blocks from the nearest player.
After 60 seconds of being "calm" and not detecting any vibrations or sniffing any mobs, a warden burrows back into the ground and despawns, unless it has been named. If the warden is floating on a liquid, it instead immediately despawns without any burrowing animation.
In Minecraft, villagers usually don't despawn naturally if they have been traded with.
