Samsung smart TVs offer exciting apps and games making it easier than ever to access the entertainment you love. Through the apps menu, you can install, lock and arrange apps, giving you greater control over who can access your media.You may find that some apps may have been pre-loaded onto your Smart TV and Premiere projector and some of these apps cannot be removed.
You need a Samsung account to download apps onto your smart TV.Find out more about setting up a Samsung account
Note:The methods provided below are the most common. For model-specific information,check your TV'suser manual.
Install an app
1Press the Home button on your remote control.
2Select APPS and then select the Search icon in the top-right corner.
3Enter the app you want to download and select it. You'll see details about the app as well as screenshots and related apps.
4Select Install. To open the app, press the Home button. Simply highlight the app you want and select it to open it.
Moving an app
To move an app, you will need to follow the instructions below:
1Press the Home button on your remote control. This opens your smart TV's home screen.
2Navigate to the app you want to move and press the Down key. A menu will expand below the app.
3Select Move. Use the directional keys to move the selected app to the desired location.
Lock and Unlock an app
Don't want your kids accidentally watching unwanted or inappropriate content? You can lock your apps. Please note that you will be asked for a PIN to open the app.
1Press the Home button on your remote control.
2Select APPS and then select the Settings icon in the top right corner.
3Select the app you want to lock or unlock, and then select Lock/Unlock.
Note:The PIN code you enter will be the same as your TV security code. By default, this is 0000.
Delete an app
You can remove apps you no longer want and free up memory space.
1Press the Home button on your remote control.
2Select APPS, and then select the Settings icon in the top right corner.
3Select the app you want to delete.
4Select Delete.
Automatically updating an app
To automatically update the installed apps, please note that automatic update is enabled only when you are connected to the internet.
1Press the Home button on your remote control.
2Navigate to and select APPS , and then select the Settings icon to the top right corner.
3Navigate Auto Update to ON .
App icons
The icons below appear in TV or projector apps and represent the following:
The app is installed on a USB device.
The app is installed.
The app supports Smart View.
The app has a password.
The app needs to be updated.
If you are having trouble with your Samsung Smart TV or projector, you should always check to see if there are any software updates available as these may contain a fix for your problem.
The easiest way to update your software is directly through the settings menu.
Press theSettingsbutton on your remote, then go toSupport>Software Update>Update now
