You can purchase Stronghold Keycards for 2,000 Essence at Buy Stations. This is the easiest and quickest way of acquiring Stronghold Keycards, since the alternative involves fighting off Mercenaries found in Mercenaries Camps and looting an RNG Loot Cache.
There is an infinite supply of Stronghold Keycards at Buy Stations, so this method is repeatable if you die or for future objectives too.

When deploying onto the map, do a couple Contracts to earn Essence then head to the nearest Buy Station marked on the map to collect your Stronghold Keycard.
How to Use Stronghold Keycards
Unlocks Mercenary Strongholds
Use the Stronghold Keycard to open the Mercenary Stronghold, which would otherwise be locked. Prepare for a fight, however, since the Strongholds contain lots of Mercenaries that will immediately open fire on you.
Unlock Terminus Outcomes Stronghold for Infiltrator Mission
