But with a cost of $23.99 a month, it can get pricey.[1] Thankfully, there are a few ways you can get SiriusXM radio for free in your car. SiriusXM’s 3-month trial is the best way to go, and then there's searching for promos, borrowing a friend’s, and removing a fuse in your car. Read on to learn which hack could give you ad-free music for free.

Remove your car’s radio fuse after signing up.

In older cars, you may be able to cheat the free trial system. Some car owners have had luck “extending” their SiriusXM 3-month trial by canceling their subscription and removing the radio fuse from the car. Now, this hack has no guarantee, but it may be worth a shot if you have an older car. Here’s how to do it:
- Remove the radio fuse from your car 24 hours before the trial period ends. This can be done in the fuse box under the car's hood.[4]
- Cancel your subscription.
- Wait 72 hours before replacing the radio fuse. SiriusXM might still play when you turn the radio back on.
