How to avoid survey scams
If you’re searching on Craigslist or other blogs, this is how you can tell if the survey site or company is real, or if they’re just trying to scam you and take your information.
Here are the obvious ones:
- Never give out your social security number. That’s never used for market research.
- Never pay for anything. You should never have to pay for shipping or anything else.
- You should never ever be asked to enter your credit card or any account information at all.
Most legit surveys will always have a number at the bottom of the page that tells you how many pages they are in the actual survey.
If you find that you’re doing surveys for hours and hours of time and you’re not getting anything, chances are that the survey site is fake.
If you find that you’re going through page after page of stuff that is completely irrelevant to the original topic, chances are that the survey site is fake.
