When you’re a Chase business cardmember, your business can earn points within a rewards program called Chase Ultimate Rewards. Those rewards can be redeemed in a variety of ways, including travel, gift cards and cash back and more through the Chase Ultimate Rewards online portal.
How can my business redeem credit card rewards?
There are multiple ways your business can redeem the rewards points you’ve earned. Here are just a few:
Redeem for cash back
A common way to redeem rewards is through cash back. This is a popular option for businesses that don’t have a lot of travel expenses and want a simple and straightforward way of redeeming rewards.
To redeem for cash back, log on to your Chase account online or through the app. Navigate to the rewards section and review your available balance. The cash back option is redeemable at the rate of $1.00 per 100 points, or 1 cent per point. So, if you have 20,000 points, for example, you could redeem them for $200 in cash.
Choose the amount you want to redeem and choose how you would like to receive it. This could be in the form of a statement credit or direct deposit. Note that it could take up to three business days for your cash back request to be completed as a statement credit.
Redeem for travel
For businesses who might like to apply their credit card rewards toward travel expenses, you may want to consider booking your travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards. This means that 20,000 points are worth $250 toward travel.
Additional benefits include:
- When you book your trip online you may use your credit card, your points, or both.
- If a customer uses their rewards to book travel and nothing is billed to the credit card, they will still be entitled to card benefits such as car rental collision insurance, trip delay insurance, etc.
- Points may be redeemed for airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals or other business travel experiences. Rates are provided by the travel provider and may vary.
- Customers can self-service travel cancellations and changes online.
- Customers can redeem, pay or track their reservations through chasetravel.com or by calling the Chase Travel Service Center.
Pay Yourself Back® program
Pick one or more recent eligible purchases and turn your available Ultimate Rewards points into a statement credit. Eligible purchases that have been posted to your account within the past 90 days will be listed in your account. Categories may include gas stations, grocery stores, select charities and annual membership fees.
Redeem for Amazon and PayPal shopping
For eligible cardholders, when you shop at Amazon.com or with merchants through PayPal, you’ll be offered the option to pay for the merchandise using your Chase Ultimate Rewards points right at the checkout screen.
In addition, you can use your points to pay for your monthly or annual Amazon Prime subscription. There are some restrictions to this option so be sure to read the terms and conditions of your card.
Combine Ultimate Rewards points between business and personal credit cards
If you have more than one eligible credit card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards, you have the option to combine and transfer points between your accounts or transfer them to a designated household member. This may be helpful if you don’t have enough points on a single card to redeem for a big trip. Transfers happen in real time and there is no limit to the number of transfers that can be made.
