Description
- How to renew an ONTAPself-signed SSL certificate viaONTAP System Manager.
- For ONTAP versions prior to 9.10.1, use the command lineto renew expiring certificates.

Procedure
- Log into System Manager.
- SelectCLUSTER->Settingsand click the arrow next toCertificates.
- Select theClient/Server Certificatestab.
- Select the ellipsis for the certificatethenRenew.
- Update the certificate name and duration as needed.
- Click on the checkbox forSelf-sign the certificatethenRenew.
- Select the ellipsis next to theoriginalcertificate and selectDelete.
- Renewing a certificate creates a new certificate and replaces the original, which is not automatically deleted.
Note: This task does not affect the ONTAP workload.
