Have you ever faced a situation where your manager was disrespectful to you at work? Maybe they yelled at you in front of your colleagues, criticized you unfairly, or ignored your input. How did you feel? How did you react? Did you report it to HR?

If you have experienced or are experiencing disrespect from your manager, you are not alone. According to a survey by the Workplace Bullying Institute, 61% of U.S. workers have witnessed or been subjected to abusive conduct at work, and 63% of the perpetrators were managers.

Disrespect from your manager can have serious consequences for your well-being, performance, and career. It can cause stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, burnout, and turnover. It can also affect your productivity, creativity, collaboration, and engagement.

So what can you do if your manager is disrespectful to you at work? Here are some steps that might help you:

  • Choose a private and neutral place and time to talk.
  • Use "I" statements to describe the situation and how it made you feel, such as "I felt hurt when you raised your voice at me in the meeting."
  • Avoid blaming or accusing your manager or using labels or insults, such as "You are rude" or "You are a bad manager."
  • Focus on the behavior and its impact, not the person or their intentions.

Disrespectful is even if they are not responding or Not hearing you when you are explaining something important. Be calm in this situation and try to connect with them once again and ask incase any concerns borthering with them.stills after many followup if they are not responding just write a mail to your Higher Authority and explain the situation what happened and try to explain what you felt in the situation rather then blaming others for the situation. You can easily get out from the situation. Blaming each other won't be a good solution to the problem it may cause more worse to your situation even to your Job.I always believe patience and Truthful can save any situation in our Life :) Thanks

What are my resources and support? My manager lied to HR and told them that I hit 2 employees and was fighting over an x-ray film. I was trying to train an employee on our new x-ray machine. She had HR yelling at me over the phone 5 days later. My email address is jeantruman02@gmail.com I was also told by my manager that she believed that I needed mental evaluation. Her personality changed and she became a micromanager. She didn't support me.
