Delegating to our stake pool helps support the content we create for users entering and participating in the Cardano ecosystem.
Total time 10 minutes
Obtain a Pool ID
Firstly, you will need to obtain a Pool ID. This is a unique identifier of the stake pool you are delegating to. Stake pools also have a ticker, such as ADAOZ, but these can be duplicates as more than one pool can have the same ticker, which is confusing.
The Pool ID is unique to each stake pool.
Navigate to https://cardanode.com.au; you will see the Pool ID on the website. Copy this to paste into the Nami Wallet.
Our Pool ID used in this example is:
6658713e2cbfa4e347691a0435953f5acbe9f03d330e94caa3a0cfb4
This can be used for delegating your wallet to.
Open Nami and Click Delegate
Open your Nami Wallet and click on the Delegate button.
If you’re already delegated to a stake pool, it will allow you to unstake and then delegate again to a new pool.
Paste Your Pool ID
Paste the pool ID you obtained earlier into the first Pool ID field.
You will get a green check mark if the Pool ID is valid. Hovering over the green check mark will reveal the name of the stake pool you are delegating to as a double-check.
Sign the Transaction
Enter your signing password and sign the transaction to delegate your wallet and ADA.
Success!
The name of the stake pool will appear in the interface if you have successfully delegated your wallet to the stake pool.
