Long story short: You can create a Revolut account for free (and get €10), then send money from your foreign bank to Revolut, exchange currency there at no cost, and send it from Revolut to your Crypto.com visa card.
If you have a Crypto.com Visa Card, your currency will be either EUR or USD depending on which area you live in. If you live, for example, in the Nordic Countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark), or even Switzerland, you want to top up your Crypto.com card with the local currency (in my case SEK, Swedish Kronor). In this post I show you how I use Revolut to transfer money to Crypto.com visa card and avoid currency exchange fees.
Why isn’t a regular bank transfer enough?
However, if I use my regular bank (Nordea). I need to send an international bank transfer, which will convert SEK to EUR before sending the money to my Crypto.com card. This involves some fees and bad exchange rates from Nordea, and it is the same if you have SEB, SwedBank, or any other big bank.
However, there’s a quite simple solution you can use:
The solution is to create an account at Revolut, which is a digital bank that has no maintenance fee, and offers free currency exchange (up to €10.000 a month). Once you have your account set up, you can use it as an intermediary between your bank and Crypto.com to get the best exchange rate and maximize your cash back. Here’s a step-by-step guide.
