How to Upgrade Legendary Items to Rank 7 in Shadowlands Patch 9.2?
You have two options when it comes to upgrading Legendary itemsto Rank 7 or item level 291 in Patch 9.2.
- Option 1: You can upgrade an existing Legendary to Rank 7using a Rank 7 base itemat the The Runecarver.
- Option 2: Craft a completely new Rank 7 Legendary item.This option is costly, but for some classes, Legendary items occupy Tier Set itemslots, so some may need to recraft their Legendaries to be efficient.

To obtain a Rank 7 base item, you must upgradea Rank 4 base item by 3 ranks by crafting it using 1

Double Legendaries in Patch 9.2
In Patch 9.2, you can unlock wearing two legendary items at the sametime. You will find more information about that in our dedicated guide.

When Can You Upgrade Legendary Items to Rank 7 in Patch 9.2?
You can craft Vestige of the Eternal only afterfinishing The Crown of Wills quest (Chapter 5 of the Zereth Mortiscampaign).
The earliest you can upgrade your Legendary items to Rank 7 on live serversis March 8, 2022.

How to Obtain Vestige of the Eternal in Patch 9.2?
The Tome of the Eternal can be purchased fromThe Enlightened quartermaster at Honored reputation standing,provided you have completed The Crown of Wills (Chapter 5 of theZereth Mortis campaign) and are a Tailor,Leatherworker,Blacksmith, orJewelcrafter.
Note that you will have automatically received the Tome of the Eternalafter completing this quest, unless you did not have a relevant profession at maxlevel with which to create a Vestige of the Eternal at the time.

How Much Does it Cost to Upgrade Existing Legendary Items to Rank 7 in Patch 9.2?
If you are upgrading an existing Legendary item from Rank 6 to 7, theupgrade only costs 2,000 Cosmic Flux and you do not need any Soul Ash or Soul Cinders.
However, you will need a Rank 7 base item.

Crafting a New Rank 7 Legendary Item
If you need to craft a completely new Rank 7 Legendary item,you will need the following:
In Patch 9.2, you can buy a Bag of Explored Souls for 3,000Cosmic Flux at Honored with The Enlightened from Vilo inZereth Mortis.
The bag contains 5,150 Soul Ash and 1,650 Soul Cinders, which is enoughto craft a new Rank 7 Legendary.

Upgrading the item rarity of a good item to a Legendary one is one of the best ways to round out your build in the game. For example, if you have found a rare item with great stats and affixes, you can Enchant it at the Occltist to increase the Item Power, to make it even better.
