You have an unpaid balance because Apple was unable to charge your payment method for a previous purchase. Add a new, valid payment method, then remove the old payment method. The new payment method is charged automatically.

The "Verification Required" message on iOS often occurs due to issues with the Apple ID payment method. This message may appear if there's a failure in the payment system, outstanding balances if the device has never downloaded apps or made purchases before, or if the payment method needs updating.

Your payment method might be outdated

If you are trying to download an app that requires payment, but your payment info is outdated, then you will see an error message when you try to download the app from the App Store. In many cases, if your payment method isn't valid, you can't even download free apps.

Make sure that you're signed in with the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchase. Make sure that in-app purchases are allowed on your device. Restart your device. If you were charged for the purchase and you still can't restore it, contact the app developer for support.

To fix the "Verification Required" issue, you can update or change your payment method. But sometimes, you might be unable to change your payment method. In this, you can redeem a gift card and use the balance to pay for any unpaid orders.

Sign in with your Apple ID and password on a new device or browser. Tap Allow to receive your verification code. Enter the verification code on your other device to complete sign in.

If it's an Apple Store transaction

If you want to report an issue with an Apple Store purchase: On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card. Under Latest Card Transactions, tap the Apple Store transaction, and then tap it again. Tap "Report an Issue," then tap "I need help with this transaction."

Restore Purchases: How to Restore iTunes Purchases
