Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible devices are turned on and near each other. Check that the devices are updated to the latest software and are on the same Wi-Fi network. Restart the devices that you want to use with AirPlay or screen mirroring.

Airplay and Screen Mirroring are no longer supported by Netflix. To use your Mac to watch Netflix on a TV, use a supported connection. Screen Mirroring and Sidecar are no longer supported by Netflix and need to be turned off while Netflix is playing. For help turning off these features, contact Apple Support.

Another reason why screen mirroring may not work on Netflix, HBO Max and others could be due to an outdated app or operating system on your device. An outdated app or operating system may not support the latest DRM or other requirements for screen mirroring.

The first thing you will want to check is if the input of your TV is set to screen mirroring. If the input is something else, say an HDMI source, you will have issues mirroring your phone's screen to your TV. On most TVs, you can head into the settings menu to change the current input.
