I'm noticing a❌BIG PROBLEM❌with social media/ online marketing today...
And I'm curious if you're noticing this problem too?
What I've observed is that many people are treating their CONNECTIONS like a COMMODITY.
(in today’s online business environment)
Would you agree or disagree?
For those of you who may need a bit of a fresher on what the term "commodity" means...
When you're a commodity, you can be replaced on a whim and have NO VALUE beyond anyone else in the market.
Another (more blunt) way of explaining this is that people don't actually care about you...they care about your money.
And this is (unfortunately) my point.
I've noticed that many people today:
😲-- Call the attendees of their own Webinars & Live Events = Buying Units
(without giving them the RESPECT of simply being someone who is seeking education, insight, and advice)
Have you noticed this too?
😲-- Try to invite as many people as possible into their Facebook Groups and "play the numbers game" as to how many they can convert into clients in the shortest amount of time
(without HONORING each individual for the value they bring to the conversation no matter how many people are in the group)
Maybe you've felt treated like this as well?
😲-- Subscribe to a (false) belief that your income is directly related to your Email List Size and that a bigger list is a better list
(while not focusing on the REAL VALUE of having a REAL CONVERSATION with a smaller number of other professionals who may actually be their "Ideal Clients")
What's your take on "bigger is better"?
---
So today...
My goal is to find out if it's just me noticing these things...
Or are you noticing these things happening too?
If so, then...
I'd like to open this conversation up for debate as well as recommendations on how to band together as professionals and combat this growing problem.
(of treating CONNECTIONS like a COMMODITY)
And I'd like to take this opportunity to start what I believe is a much-needed dialogue about this very apparent problem.
The solution...
✅= Treat every person in your community, on your email list, or attending your webinars & live events just like you'd want to be treated (if you were in their shoes)
It's seems so simple.
Doesn't it?
