By texting this number, the company was able to get more information about its prospective customers, including their names, zip codes, and the type of vehicle they were interested in. After some time, the sales dealers would take over and work to close out the deal. If a customer stopped engaging, they would send out additional texts to re-engage with the customer. According to Tatango.com, this mobile marketing campaign saw a 15.4 percent conversion rate.
