I recently visited Stockholm and had an amazing time! Here are some highlights from my trip:**Safety:** I felt very safe throughout my stay in Stockholm. The city is well-maintained, and the people are friendly and helpful.**Things to Do:** I highly recommend exploring the various museums and historical sites. The Vasa Museum is a must-see, showcasing a preserved 17th-century ship. Also, take a stroll through Gamla Stan, the old town, which is full of charming streets and shops. If you have time, visit Djurgården for beautiful parks and attractions.**Food and Restaurants:** The food in Stockholm is delicious! I enjoyed visiting an Asian food cafe in a shopping mall, which offered a variety of tasty dishes. I also had a delightful experience at a local cafe, enjoying coffee and a traditional Swedish bun. The food scene here is diverse and caters to all tastes.**Budget:** I spent around 300 EUR for my 5-day trip, which was quite reasonable. This included food, transport, and some shopping.**Accommodation:** I stayed at a friend's place, which made my trip more economical. However, there are plenty of hotels and hostels available to suit all budgets.**Transport:** Getting around Stockholm is very convenient. The public transport system is efficient, clean, and easy to navigate. I mainly used buses and the metro, which were both reliable and timely.**People:** The locals are very kind and helpful. I always felt welcome and had no trouble asking for directions or recommendations.**Itinerary:** I spent my days exploring the city, visiting museums, and enjoying local cafes and restaurants. I also made time for some shopping and leisurely walks in the parks.Overall, Stockholm is a beautiful city with a rich cultural heritage and a welcoming atmosphere. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable travel experience.

Solo travel

I felt mostly safe in the city, everyone was respectfull and peacefull. Even alone at night, the streets were quite empty but mostly well lighted and didn't had any problems as a solo traveler. I went tobars alome as well again, a simple no was enough to keep the umwanted attention away. It's an expensive city so I mainly ait from the supermarket. Bu the bar Stampen in Gamla Stan was quite nice (expensive though). Bartenders always kept my stuff and drink safe when I went to bathroom etc. I stayed in a hostel room of 12 people and almost all of them were men so next time I would choose a smaller room and maybe an all female but still I haven't had any issues.

Solo travel

I felt very safe as a solo female traveller in Stockholm.Highly recommend the Abba museum and fotografiska. The vasa museum was also excellent. Also the Bageri on the river was amazing but basically anywhere you can get cardamom buns is a win. In general I loved Stockholm and literally left wanting to move there!

Solo travel

Stockholm was my first solo trip abroad and I believe it's a great place for a first solo journey. I was there for 3 nights, I felt very safe, and everything went smoothly. I walked quite a lot of kilometers, as there was always something that caught my attention and I couldn't get enough of it.

I felt completely safe and everybody was helpful and friendly. I can clearly recommend the city, also for solo travelling. As student you can get many discounts in museums, which is perfect if you want to educate your self a bit on your trip. You must know everything is quite expensive in this city.

I recommend this city to all vintage lovers, to those who seek safe and clean places. The urban planning is great, looks ideal on every photo, restaurant are vegan friendly, the fika is a must-do experience!

Solo travel

I discovered that Stockholm is modern and progressive, while still respecting its history. The architecture is stunning, and the city itself is huge. Despite its size, I feel safe walking alone at night, thanks to well-lit streets and the presence of people of all ages. If Stockholm is on your travel list, I highly recommend a visit.

Solo travel

I went there alone last year for 3 nights and it was wonderful. I felt very safe, and the place itself was beautiful. One day, I took a free guided walk, another day I visited the Vasa Museum, and then I just explored Gamla stan and the area around my hostel. I would like to go back.

Group travel

We went there for a weekend getaway. We felt really safe. We took part in a two-hour canal cruise with a guide, who spoke about the bridges, which was really cool. We rode Lime electric scooters on several islands and it turned out to be the fastest and easiest way to see as much as possible. Stockholm is really beautiful, especially because of all these colorful buildings. Really pleasant, fresh Scandinavian air. During the day the weather was warm, although temperatures dropped in the evening. On Saturday evening we also visited an ice bar, which was also something different and original. Some things are expensive, but we managed to find places where we could eat at a reasonable price both nights.

Solo travel

Stockholm was my first solo trip, I felt very safe and fantastic there. I stayed at the hostel "STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen", I chose it because I wanted some company, as it was my first solo trip. The hostel is very close to the city center, I reached 90% of the main attractions on foot, and then I used public transport, which was also very safe. Skansen was really nice, I also loved the Royal Palace and took a tour of the archipelago. It took me 3.5 hours and it was really beautiful, I did it at sunset. Food can be expensive, but there are plenty of tasty pastries for little money and it's definitely worth treating yourself to a meal at least a few times to try local food, I loved it! Berries have my heart.

In my experience Stockholm is generally a very safe city for women. Public transport is very safe. I've hardly ever experienced harassment on the street. I am a white, heterosexual woman, therefore it's a little bit difficult for me to write about safety for women who identify as LGBTQ, wear religious clothing, are black etc.

I often go running alone at night and have never felt unsafe. There are some neighborhoods that are less safe, but the downtown area has always felt OK in my opinion. Like most cities, you just need to know which parks or areas to avoid at night.

Solo travel

Stockholm is full of nature. If you have a tent with you, I definitely recommend staying in a nature reserve. There are many places with beautiful sunsets. You should definitely get "Too Good To Go". You can get a lot of food there for a reasonable price. The best surprise bags are available at the espresso house and Lindquist's Pastry in Stockholm.

Solo travel

Sea, lake, river, ocean and forests give me peace. Stockholm has a very beautiful sea and I liked it very much. Even though the weather was not very hot when I went, I had a wonderful time. I met a Mexican photographer. Thanks to him, I shot with a professional camera and we chatted. I liked it very much and I want to go again. Because there are still so many things, museums and events I want to do, experience and see. it is a wonderful city.
