Have you ever felt like your phone is listening to everything you say? Maybe you’ve noticed that after talking about a certain product or service, you start seeing ads for it on your phone. Or maybe you’ve had a conversation with someone and then received a notification or a suggestion related to it. Is this a coincidence, or is your phone spying on you?
While it is true that your phone isn't covertly recording every conversation, it does actively listen for specific keywords to activate its voice assistant, like "Hey Siri" or "OK Google." These assistants aid in tasks such as calls, messaging, reminders, music, web searches, etc. However, they retain some audio data to enhance services, personalize experiences, and display relevant ads. Balancing convenience with privacy remains essential in this context.
