Star Citizen Free Fly May 17th-29th, 2024!
The next Free Fly Event will take place May 17th-29th during the annual Invictus Launch Week! Visit the Ship Spotlight page to see when specific ship manufacturers will be on display and available to test fly for free. The free fly instructions below will be updated once the event is live, so be sure to check back on the 17th!
Free Fly events are often paired with a referral bonus (usually a set of armor, small ship or hover bike) granted to those who use a referral code to create an account, and then spend $40 USD or more in the pledge store.
As part of the ongoing OVERDRIVE missions leading up to Invictus Launch Week in May, a limited time referral bonus was active, granting theP-52 Merlin Snub Fighter, for FREE (approximately a $25 value). No referral bonus is currently active.
Note:You must have completed a $40 purchase prior to the end of the OVERDRIVE event (May 2, 2024) to have received the latest referral bonus. Referral bonuses are typically granted at the end of the event.
If you used my referral code and DID NOT receive your referral bonus, please contact Customer Support to have them correct the error.

#2 Download the Game Client
Visit the Client Download Page to install the launcher. Or, use the direct download link:
Visit the Free Fly page, and click "FLY FOR FREE." You are now ready to jump into the 'verse, but don't do it alone. I recommend finding a Guide to help you learn the ropes!

The first step towards playing Star Citizen during the Free Fly event is to create a free Star Citizen account. After that, you can't do much but wait for the event to launch. When the Free Fly event begins, you will be able to download and install Star Citizen on your PC through the Roberts Space Industries website.

How well does the Fury fly in-atmosphere compared to space? Above average compared to other ships. Given its low mass and thrusters that can hit many angles of thrust, it's one of the easier ships to fly in-atmosphere.
Subscriptions to the Star Citizen Community Monthly and Annual Plans automatically renew and are charged accordingly at the end of their terms at then-current rates for additional monthly and annual terms respectively, until canceled by you. This subscription is optional and not required to play the game.
Funding from backers exceeded $300 million in June 2020, surpassed $400 million in November 2021, and $500 million in September 2022. The current number of backers is unknown, as it does not equal the advertised counter 'Star Citizens'.
Only a select amount of ships are permanent available for purchase (pledge) on the pledge store. A frequently updated list of all prices can be found at List of ship and vehicle prices.
Drive should be NTFS formatted with at least 100 GB of space for the RSI Launcher and Star Citizen for install and at least 10GB (SSD) - 20GB (HDD) additional space for the pagefile. Microsoft . NET Framework 3.5 and 4.5.
A package will contain one or more ships, as well as some in-game currency and insurance for your ships. The most important thing to note is that the cheapest packages ($45 USD) will ONLY include either the multiplayer Star Citizen or the single-player Squadron 42.
Log into the RSI website using the account you wish to claim the gift with. Set up Two-Factor Authentication on the RSI account, if it has not already been activated. Locate the gift notification email, then click the link in that email to accept the gift.
