Today PayneWest Insurance officially takes on the Marsh McLennan Agency name. I've had quite a few people ask me how the acquisition process has been going. The word "acquisition" having such an ominous connotation and all..This is the best analogy I have to describe it: I've changed my own name a few times in my life. Each time it's changed, there were some shifts that occurred.. 1. I appreciated the memories built, the old ways of doing things. But I said goodbye to those routines as I left that part of my life behind in order to embark on something greater.2. I embraced new changes. New people, new places, new traditions and new norms. It's not always easy and I may not have liked EVERYTHING, but we take the good with the bad and we adapt.3. I stood fast in the truth that my name may have changed, but who I am at my core remains unwavering. This applies just as much in the business world. One thing I can say for certain is that our name and logo may have changed, but at our core, we will stand strong on our foundation of CLIENTS, COLLEAGUES AND COMMUNITY. Same awesome company, but now with more muscle to support and fight for our clients. It's a good thing.#marshmclennan #community #insurance

Well said Kayla! Great positive message. I know this transition has been in the works for some time now. I am sure you and your colleagues will make the shift seamless for existing clients and will attract some new ones! Btw - If you have any golf balls you need to unload, happy to take them off your hands! :)

Appreciate the memories built and the 'old ways' of doing things. Embrace saying goodbye to those routines (humbly remembering lessons learned) in order to embark on something greater.2. Welcome the new changes. New people, new places, new traditions and new norms. It's not always easy and all are unlikely to like EVERYTHING, but take the good with the bad and then adapt.3.
