How does kryterion work? ›

While taking an Online Proctored Exam, you will be monitored by a Live Kryterion Proctor. A Kryterion Proctor's focus is to ensure exam security by maintaining exam integrity.

Online proctoring is a way for you to take a Salesforce certification exam remotely from your own computer, rather than going in to a testing facility. Online proctored exams are delivered through Kryterion's Sentinel Secure software which allows the exam to be monitored by a proctor through a webcam.

Definition: Test proctoring is testing overseen by an authorized, neutral individual who ensures the identity of the test taker.

Every time a remote proctor accesses a student's device, they may be able to view or retrieve highly sensitive information such as passwords or personal information. While it's important to stress again that such behavior is very rare, it is possible and an unnecessary liability.

Proctors have the ability to view the screen and utilize the mouse and keyboard as if they were sitting next to you. Once the exam starts, your proctor will monitor everything on the computer screen, but can no longer utilize the your mouse and keyboard.

Access a different computer: If a virtual machine or remote desktop is detected when you connect to a proctor on exam day, you will be asked to proceed as above and reconnect to your host operating system to take your test.

How hard are Salesforce exams? ›

The Salesforce Admin Certification is considered an entry-level certification but is by no means easy. Other certifications, such as Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Salesforce Technical Architect, are more challenging and require a deeper level of knowledge and experience.

Live Proctored Examinations: This type involves a live human being who does not only watch you through your webcam but also monitors your computer screen activity from time to time. They may also communicate with you verbally for identification or dealing with any technical hitches that may arise.

Your behavior

You must dress as though you were in a public setting. You must not communicate with any other person by any means. You must not use a phone for any reason. You must not leave the room during the exam for any reason.

A webcam, so the online proctor can see you. A microphone, so the proctor can hear you and you can answer the verification questions.

Click the My Assessments tab of your Webassessor account to view the associated screen. You will find your exam listed in the Scheduled Exams section. The Launch button appears 10 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start and remains visible for 20 minutes, or until you click it to begin.

To take an exam, click on the exam name and enter the password on the right side of the screen to begin your exam. Ready for Download: These are exams that are now able to be downloaded to your machine. Be certain to download these exams before the download ends.

Please log into your ProctorU account 2-3 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam. On the "My Sessions" page on your ProctorU account, there will be a countdown timer showing you how much time you have until your next exam. When the timer reaches 0:00, a "Start Session" button will appear.
