My phone lags on internet if both eSIM and physical SIMs are activated at the same time. None of the apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook, including chrome works for initial 30 to 40 seconds after loading. Whatsapp remains at "connecting" for a long time when a conversation is opened. Once it connects, it works fine.
eSIM has been chosen as default voice line and cellular data has also been set to eSIM.
I tried resetting network settings but it didn't work. If physical SIM is disabled, the eSIM works absolutely fine without any lag.
What could possibly be the issue?
iPhone XS Max, iOS 12

Hi jahangiramin,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand on the iPhone XS Max, you're experiencing slow performance issues. I'll be happy to help.
I recommend making sure you have the latest software version of iOS 12. Having the latest update provides software improvements and enhanced security updates on your device. Here's a helpful article on how to check for an iOS update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From there, you'll want to check the App Store to see if there's any pending updates for your apps. To check, you can open the App Store > tap on the Updates tab.
Lastly, I recommend verifying if there's a possible carrier settings update. Here's how: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Take care!

- Issues connecting to internet on my refurbished iPhoneHi!I have an Iphone XR and since a acouple of days some of my apps such as Youtube, Messenger and Whatsapp have been having issues connecting to internet even though I have called my network provider and there is no problem on that end. I can browse on safari just fine, same goes for Facebook, Instagram etc... however whatsapp just doesn't seem to connect, youtube loads the home screen just fine and the suggested videos when clicking on a video but not the video in itself, and messenger allows me to receive messages but not send them. Or with a minimum of two hour delay. Also I am having issues connecting to the wifi. It says it is connected but I am always on mobile data and if I switch it off, nothing. Even though my computor and the rest of the family have no issues. My Iphone is refurbished, can that be the cause? It was almost new though. I have done everything. - Internet stopped working on my iPhone 11Yesterday the internet mostly quit working on my iphone 11 (iOS 15.5). Most of the apps that rely on internet are not working nor unable to update. The exceptions I have found are - Skype chats are updating slowly, and my gmail app as some new email coming in (not all of it - there seems to be a lag of about 2-3 hours). Whatsapp has had no new messages since yesterday, and other apps (like web browsers, etc) are not loading any content.I can initiate and receive phone calls and text messages. I have restarted the phone several times, and tried using with just phone data and just wifi. The wifi is working fine on other devices)Any recommendations?Thank you! 3014

Hi. Thanks a lot for the response. My issue is not related to phone's performance. It is facing issues in internet connectivity.
I have latest OS i.e. 12.3.1
I did check for any updates of carrier settings as per your instructions and there are no updates available.

jahangiramin,
Thanks for clarifying and for providing the additional information.
In this case, I recommend contacting your carrier to verify that your account is properly configured with your cellular data plan. Your wireless carrier can access your account and review this issue further for you.
Best regards!
