BULLET RESISTANT LAMINATED GLASS

AT PRL WE RENDER LAMINATED GLASS FOR THREAT LEVELS 1-8.

Get the job done with our bullet resistant laminated glass! We offer threat levels 1-8. So, for example, we generate level 3 with a 1.10″ interlayer thickness.

Furnished in clear and a range of shades, we manufacture bullet resistant glass in standard sizes up to 48” x 96” and custom sheets up to 60” x 96”. So, shop with us today! Guarding against a volume of weaponry and ammunition, our bullet resistant laminated glass is perfect for entrance doors, cashier windows and more!

At PRL, we have an in-house lamination line so we’re able to produce custom laminated glass with the fastest lead-times in the industry! Laminated glass is another option when safety glass is required. It can be manufactured using glass that’s annealed, heat-strengthened or tempered and can be made up using different glass types including tinted, reflected, patterned or mirrored.

Laminated glass is produced by bonding layers of glass under pressure and heat, with a layer of film- called the interlayer, between them. This interlayer absorbs energy impacts and allows the sheet to flex and bend as a whole. Although the glass may break, its fragments remain firmly bonded to the interlayer, minimizing the risk of injuries to people or objects.

Is there one way bullet proof glass? ›

One-way ballistic glass stops bullets moving in one direction, but lets them pass through in the opposite direction. This means it is bulletproof on one side, but not on the other. In most applications, regular bulletproof glass makes more sense than one-way bulletproof glass.

How many layers of Kevlar to stop 9mm? ›

While soft body armor has its benefits, it takes 20 to 50 layers of Kevlar to stop a bullet, and is typically used to stop lower caliber rounds [1]. This many layers causes the vest to lose its flexibility, which is a major disadvantage in applications where quick reflexes are required.
