What is a level 3 apprenticeship?

Level 3 - or advanced apprenticeships - are a brilliant opportunity for you to get your foot in the door after leaving school. Not only will you gain qualifications equivalent to two A-Levels, you’ll also get paid to study.

What is a level 3 apprenticeship equivalent to?

Advanced apprenticeships are equivalent to two A level passes. To be considered for a level 3 apprenticeship, you’ll need to have completed a level 2 apprenticeship or passed five GCSEs.

There’ll be times when you won’t even need a qualification to apply for a level 3 apprenticeship. As long as you have industry experience, your employer will fast-track you onto the programme.

How long does an advanced apprenticeship take?

Advanced apprenticeships are a minimum of 12 months long, though some can last 2-4 years. The length of your apprenticeship will depend on the following factors:
