Is Carnegie Mellon a tough school? ›

Carnegie Mellon is a very academically challenging school. The social life and lack of school/life balance makes it even more challenging. But, five years into my career, I feel it prepared me for success in the workforce in every way possible.

We also consider leadership, motivation, passion and perseverance, concern and advocacy for others, and other experiences when making admission decisions. Our students make Carnegie Mellon an exciting campus. The positive qualities and diverse experiences you bring with you will enrich our community.

Both schools are highly reputable and offer excellent programs in computer science, so you can't go wrong with either.

Carnegie Mellon, while not an Ivy, is nonetheless a highly respected and leading institution especially renowned for its programs in Computer Science, Drama, and Engineering. It's a university that consistently ranks among the top national institutions, but it also offers a different environment.

Teaching materials are used by the teacher to clear the contants. like audio visual, pictures,chats ect. Learning materials are taxts materials which can be used by students also . Like side books or other written tools.

Generally speaking things at CMU are going to be harder than anything you do in the real world. You won't have to do as much in such a short time with such a high standard. Everyone is trying to get a 4.0 or make the deanslist, (and to an extent keep a scholarship which imo is more reasonable). But GPA's are low here.

Of university students who participated in another survey conducted by Carnegie Mellon University, 61 percent were found to be at risk of clinical depression. That's twice the rate prior to the pandemic.
