Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Christians should be living life in sync with God’s purpose and with purpose. Sync is short for synchronization which means harmony, accord, or alignment to a standard. God’s purpose is that standard. Every person has a purpose and calling in life (2 Timothy 1:9). To discover God’s purpose, we first have to surrender to His primary purpose of not living life just for ourselves or selfishly but for Him (2 Corinthians 5:15).
God prepares each of us for His purpose (Rom. 12:6-8) and designs or puts into us the necessary equipment to fulfill it. If we live in line with His design and what He has built into us we will be in sync with His purpose and not feel out of place. Our life then presents a picture of us living and functioning in harmony with His design. There is a divine design to all of our lives for we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works Eph. 2:10. Life becomes beautiful when it is lived in sync with God’s divine design and purpose. Here are some clues to His destiny designed into you:
DESIRE – Psalm 37:4; Philippians 2:13; Hebrews 13:20,21 (Desire reveals design).
PASSION – John 2:17 interest, intensity, motivation; (Passion is a sign God’s placed something in your heart He cares about).
GIFTING – Romans 12:6-8 (Gifting indicates grace bestowed that motivates us and makes us notice needs others do not see).
PEACE – Colossians 3:15 (Peace aligns you with His leading, timing and opportunity).
FRUIT – John 15:16; Matthew 12:33 (Fruit manifests what’s inside).
AFFIRMATION – 1 Peter 4:10 (Mature leaders/believers should also see it if you’ve been a faithful steward of it).
