Generally a nice neighborhood, with a diverse population and really nice nightlife on certain streets. Although the areas about the subway stations are not the best, but that's more a testament to the subway system in general.

I have lived on the Lower East Side for my whole life. Born and raised. I love the Lower East side since this is my home. This neighborhood is safe compared to other neighborhoods in New York City. My only issue is with NYCHA. I am a NYCHA resident and just as other NYCHA developments in NYC, the living conditions are bad. More light needs to be brought to the fact that we need repairs!
