Hero Guide[]
The LR evolution for [Advent of Flash] Covenant of Light Ludociel was released on November 21, 2023. Ludociel is the second Goddess race character to receive an LR evolution. Much like before, Ludociel becomes an even more potent support unit on the team while increasing his DPS capabilities and that of his teams.
Pros[]
- Much like before, Ludociel offers great support through increasing basic stats of Goddess allies and offering Buffs and cleansing Debuffs
- New damage increase effect on his Ultimate makes it much more reliable and cripples the enemy team in PVP
Cons[]
- Charge skill is not very strong in terms of DPS potential even with Crit Resistance Debuff
- This is due to the fact that Charge as a skill is extremely weak in general as it's outdated
- Still needs his Ultimate Move maxed for extra effects
- Debuffs are countered by debuff immunity and cleanse
- Makes it not effective in Late Story Mode Bosses and Demonic Beast Battles who are completely immune to debuffs
- Weak to Debuff/Buff Disable or Block Skill effects
Skill Review[]
Holy Blade - Thanks to the added effect of decreasing Crit Resistance, this skill actually has some utility. Though it still won’t be impressive in terms of damage on its own, you can still use it to set up stronger attacks in PVP.
Breath of Bless - This skill is still incredibly useful. With LR evolution, it gains higher percentages at both rank 2 and 3. As before, it is great for simultaneously removing Debuffs but increasing the survivability and effectiveness of the team.
Ultimate: Opening Greeting - Once again, the Debuffs applied scale with Ultimate Move level, and the ability to block skill effects only happens when it is maxed out. However, if you have max investment, it can easily kill any enemy short of them having an ability to cap damage to a certain point on any single attack. It also increases the damage other enemies take from subsequent attacks as long they don’t have Debuff Immunity.
Unique: Distorted Holiness - As before, Ludociel’s Unique ability pairs with other Goddess allies. You can max this out quickly if you use Green Sariel if he is attacked while using his Stance skill (with Holy Relic). Otherwise, it can take a few turns to max it out which can be an issue in PVP. However, in PVE, this is not a problem.
Grace: [Advent of Flash] Grace of Flash - All the Archangels have their own exclusive Grace ability. Festival Ludociel's Grace is certainly one of the weaker ones, but having a Grace is effectively an extra Unique Ability so it doesn't hurt to have. It isn't too great on Ludociel himself but can help other units to a decent degree.
Gear Recommendation[]
This equipment set is used because Ludociel is more about staying alive and supporting the team rather than outputting his own damage.
Equipment Set[]
- Life (HP) / Iron Wall (Defense)
Sub-stats[]
- Bracer/Ring - Attack
- Necklace/Earring - Defense
- Belt/Rune - HP
Usage[]
Overall, Ludociel is just better at what he already was doing. It doesn't make him do anything too different from before. Therefore, you'll keep using him in whichever content you already were.
PVP[]
If you are someone who uses the Goddess team, you’ll most likely want this LR Blue Festival Ludociel on the team for a multitude of reasons. For one, being an LR means he will have exceptional CC compared to normal UR characters. Secondly, he perpetuates the way the Goddess team functions as a whole, building up stats over the course of a few turns to make them quite a tanky team once they get going. Unfortunately, the Goddess team is not the strongest at the moment. It certainly isn’t bad, but it is not exceptional enough to truly be a meta team currently.
PVE[]
Not much will change for non-PVP content, as the LR evolution does not change Ludociel’s role on the team. He will help you in any PVE content in the game where he is remotely usable. In particular, he can help you in Hero Arena where it is difficult to go first on harder difficulties.

Story[]
Ludociel is the leader of the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan and also the leader of Stigma.
When Ludociel feels the presence of someone with an appropriate soul to be his vessel, he calls her to the altar on which he was sealed. Thus, Ludociel makes a deal with the young princess of Liones, she would grant him her body to be his vessel in exchange for saving Gilthunder. After this, Ludociel takes the body of Margaret and offers Hendrickson and Dreyfus in becoming members of his new Stigma and eradicating the Demon Clan.
In order to fulfill the deal with Margaret, Ludociel transports himself to the Druid Altar where Gilthunder was held captive by Vivian. Once there, Ludociel pierced Vivian's throat with his rapier, affirming that his promise to eliminate the sorceress and to free Gilthunder was fulfilled, being able from that point to take complete control of Margaret's body. Feeling the presence of a member of the Demon Clan near the altar, Ludociel releases a powerful attack against Zeldris who was in the middle of a negotiation with Merlin, claiming that it was a welcome greeting. Ludociel mentions how satisfied he is in Margaret's body, while Gilthunder asks why he chose her and demands that he release her, but Ludociel states that Margaret sacrificed herself to save him. When Zeldris emerges once again furious at the return of the Archangels, he launches his Dies Irae against Ludociel.
