Angie currently serves as President and General Counsel of Direxion where she is the executive in charge of all management and business operations as well as legal operations.
Angie has been General Counsel of Direxion since joining the firm in 2010. She also served as Chief Compliance Officer from 2012 through March 2023. From 2021 through 2022 she served as Chief Operations Officer then becoming President in September 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she held key leadership positions at U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, LLC, and Strong Asset Management, LLC.
Angie received her undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Drake University in 1998, and her J.D. in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Paul Brigandi
Managing Director, Head of Trading
Paul is responsible for the day-to-day management, oversight, and trading operations for all products in the Direxion lineup. He also sits on various senior management committees and assists in creating new leveraged product ideas, managing product initiatives, and bringing new products to market.
He joined the firm in 2004 and played a leading role in the development and marketplace implementation of Direxion’s leveraged ETFs in November 2008. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an Associate Financial Consultant at FleetBoston Financial.
Paul is a graduate of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and received his Master of Business Administration from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He currently holds a Series 3, 7, 55 and 66 license and over 15 years of experience in portfolio management, index replication and executing sophisticated derivatives-based strategies.
Edward Egilinsky
Managing Director, Head of Sales and Distribution, Head of Alternative Investments
As Head of Sales and Distribution Ed focuses on global product implementation within the institutional and tactical client segments as well as promoting ETF education and strategy throughout the financial industry. Ed is also responsible for managing the Direxion ETF sales team. As Head of Alternative Investments, Ed’s focus is to drive the firm's product development initiatives, internal and external product messaging, training and support of product delivery.
Prior to joining Direxion, he served as Managing Director of Business Development at Price Asset Management where his focus was on expanding the company's distribution network and diversifying its product line. Ed was also Managing Director and head of Alternative Strategies at Rydex Investments where he provided leadership to the sales team for alternative strategy initiatives, expanded distribution channels, and effectively branded Rydex, as well, as a recognized provider of alternative investment. Earlier in his career, Ed was Head of US Sales and Marketing for Kenmar Advisory Corporation where he drove domestic asset growth among high net worth and institutional clients.
Ed graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the State University of New York in Albany. He also holds Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 Licenses.
Tony Ng
Managing Director, Co-Head of Portfolio Management and Head of Portfolio Strategy
Tony oversees a team of Portfolio Managers responsible for the Direxion ETF lineup. His expertise includes the creation and execution to bring a leverage/inverse ETF to market and the daily operations of managing leverage/inverse ETFs.
Prior to joining Rafferty, he held supervisory roles in the Middle Office groups at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Asset Management.
Tony received his Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the State University of Buffalo. He currently holds Series 3, Series 7, Series 63, Paper 1 and Paper 2 securities licenses.
Andy O'Rourke
Managing Director, Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer at Direxion, Andy leads all marketing efforts focusing on building brand and product awareness within the investment advisor community.
Prior to joining Direxion, he was the Director of Distribution Marketing for MassMutual Financial Group's Retirement Services division. Andy has also been employed by State Street Bank, Fidelity Investments, and Emplanet Retirement Services, in various relationship management, product development, and strategic marketing positions.
Andy is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has earned a Masters of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
Todd Sherman, FRM
Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer
Todd is responsible for Rafferty Asset Management’s overall risk management and directing the firm’s technological resources efficiently and securely.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked at a number of hedge funds focused on various systematic strategies with roles across trading, portfolio management, and risk control.
Todd graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University’s School of Business in 2003 where he completed a double major in Finance and Management Information Systems. He is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He currently holds a Series 3 securities license.
Patrick Rudnick
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO,Pat is responsible for oversight of all financial matters for the firm, including certification of financial reporting for all products. Pat also has lead responsibility for monitoring operational risk, and internal efficiencies for the firm.
Prior to Direxion, he managed various teams in the Fund Administration department at U.S. Bancorp Fund Services in which he was responsible for financial reporting, compliance, board reporting and expense oversight for a number of clients. Pat was also a key member of the team that helped develop USBFS's ETF servicing model. He served as the Treasurer and Principal Financial Officer for Professionally Managed Portfolios and ETF Series Solutions, both multiple series trusts; and for the Direxion Funds and Direxion Shares ETF Trusts. Prior to U.S. Bancorp,he was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in assessing the internal control structure of investment management companies, investment advisers, and broker dealers.
Pat is a Certified Public Accountant, and received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
