But here's the twist: Instead of the usual beeps and blinding flashes, these wooden wonders, named Beamer, Hover, and Bot, gracefully nod and tilt their heads to notify you of incoming messages, reminders, or even food deliveries. Crafted from Danish oak wood, often used in furniture, each Bottie has its unique movement style. Beamer tilts its head side to side, Bot bobs up and down and plays with its wooden ear, and Hover rotates gracefully. These movements are their silent language, a quiet dance that catches your attention without disrupting your environment.
Born in the Innovation Lab of Swift Creatives, the journey of Botties started with hand sketches, evolved into 3D-printed prototypes, and culminated in the final oak versions. The team's creative process ensured these robots were not just functional but also seamlessly integrated into our daily lives. With sizes ranging from 153 to 170 millimeters, they are the perfect desk or shelf companions, offering a gentle nudge when you need it.
Inspired by Danish design culture, particularly Kay Bojesen's wooden toys, these robots blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Each Bottie houses motion sensors, programmed motors, and electronics, all concealed within their wooden bodies, ensuring a sleek and natural appearance.
