In my journey through life, I’ve come to a profound realisation about the role of money. We’re often told that the absence of money can lead to unhappiness, while an abundance of it ensures a joyous life. However, my experiences have led me to believe in a paradox — a reality where the lack of money can indeed cause unhappiness, but an excess of it does not automatically guarantee a fulfilled and content life.
During times of financial scarcity, life often feels like a precarious balancing act. Meeting basic needs becomes a challenge, let alone indulging in life’s luxuries. The constant worry about making ends meet and the fear of an uncertain financial future can take a toll on our mental and emotional well-being. As the saying goes,
“When poverty comes knocking at the door, love flies out the window.”
The dearth of financial resources can strain relationships, creating a cycle of dissatisfaction.
