How do I unstar a course in Moodle? ›

To remove the star from a page, click the three dots and select 'Unstar this course'. To remove a page from view, click the three dots of the page and click 'Remove from view'. If you change the 'All (except removed from view)' filter to 'Removed from view', the removed pages will be shown.

To hide a course, click the three dots by its name and then click "Remove from view".

Customizing the Course overview block

The Starred course option allows you to hand-select which courses you want to display in your Course overview block. To “star” a course, click the three vertical dots (vertical ellipsis) on the course card and choose “Star this course”.

To Change Your Course Cover Image:

Click the Change cover image button in the top right-hand corner of your course. Alternatively, you can go to Course administration then select Settings and upload a Course image. Click the Save button. Log out and log back in to Moodle if you cannot see your new course image.

General help

On the My Courses page, there are 3 little dots that give you the option to "star this course" or "remove from view".

How can I disable (hide) the language dropdown menu on the site front page? Go to Settings > Site administration > Language > Language settings and un-tick the 'Display language menu' checkbox.

If you don't want the language menu to display, you can turn it off from Site administration > General > Language settings. Note that the language menu may display differently according to the site theme.

In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the "gear" icon. From the resulting drop-down list, choose "more" to see course administration page. Select Edit settings on the resulting webpage. In the General section of the settings, click the Course visibility menu and select Show.

Custom page content

To add or edit the content of a custom page, select the Content tab and Edit page. Ensure that editing mode is also turned on! You can add custom blocks in any block region defined in your theme.

Teachers can select a course format from Course navigation > Settings > Course format. An administrator can enable, disable or delete course formats for courses from Site administration > Plugins > Course formats > Manage course formats.

If you do not want "Mark as Done" attached to Activities and Resources in your courses, you just need to access Settings from your course menu bar. This will bring you to the course settings page where you just need to Scroll Down to Activity Completion and under Enable Activity Click No.

Go to Gradebook setup from the Administration block after you have finished setting up the Moodle Assignment. Click on Edit next to the Assignment you wish to set and select Edit settings. Tick Enable next to Hidden unitl and set the date and time that you wish to release. Click Save changes.

Find the student whose grades need to be overridden and tick on the box across from his or her name. If you need to override everyone's grades, just click on the All at the top of the Override All/None column. 4. The grayed-out field becomes white, and you can make the change to the grade value there.

Your Submission status page will open. Select Remove submission beneath the assignment description. Select Continue on the confirmation pop-up.
