You can move or copy files to an SD card on your device.

Move or copy files from Categories section

  1. On your Android device, open Files by Google Move or copy files to your SD card (1).
  2. Under "Categories," select a category.
  3. Find the file you want to move or copy.
  4. At the top right, tap More Move or copy files to your SD card (2)Move or copy files to your SD card (3)Move to or Copy to.
  5. Tap SD card.
  6. If you want to move or copy files to a new folder:
    1. Choose where you want to create a new folder, then tap Add new folder.
    2. Enter folder name in the pop-up.
    3. Tap Move to folder or Copy to folder
  7. If you want to move or copy files to an existing folder:

    1. Choose the folder you want to move or copy the file to.
    2. Tap Move here or Copy here.

  1. On your Android device, open Files by Google Move or copy files to your SD card (4).
  2. Under "Storage devices,"tap SD card.

  3. Find the files you want to move or copy in the selected folder.

    • To move or copy one file:
      1. Next to the file, tap More Move or copy files to your SD card (5).
    • To move or copy multiple files:

      2. Next to each file you want to move or copy, check the circle.

  4. If you want to move or copy files to a new folder:
    1. Choose where you want to create a new folder, then tap Add new folder.
    2. Enter folder name in the pop-up.

    1. Choose the folder you want to move or copy the file to.
