hello
we can't seem to find the "shipping charges" option in the new layout when creating an invoice.
The Shipping toggle is turned on in the settings, and I can see shipping charges above the total in the our custom form, however when I go and edit the invoice it doesn't show.
is this a bug or are we missing something?
thanks

Thank you for letting us know about this concern, Matteo_S.
I can see that you've already turned on the Shipping fee option, however, I'd still like to give you the complete process to make sure it was properly saved. Here's how:
- Go to +New icon, and choose Invoice.
- Click Payment options drop down ▼ and locate More options.
- Then, enable Shipping fee.
- Hit Save.
However, if you don't have this field on your invoices, let's check if it's a browser related issue. We can start by opening your account in a private window as it ignores historical data. These are the keyboard shortcuts:
- Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
- Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
If you're able to see the Shipping feeoption when editing your invoices, then it's safe to say that it's being caused by your browser. You'll want to clear your regular browser cache.
Furthermore, you can also check out this article to learn how to send invoices over time as you work off an estimate in the future: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Please feel free to reply if you have any invoices or QuickBooks-related concerns. Have a great day ahead.

We are having the same problem as outlined by the original customer - we cannot see the shipping field in our QB invoices after the recent updates.
I followed the steps outlined and the "Shipping Fee" field is greyed out - we cannot choose it.
Is this because we are using an older template? What else can I do to troubleshoot this issue so that we can add shipping to our invoices as before?

Hey there, @poursteady.
Thanks for joining in on this thread.
Let's try some additional troubleshooting to help resolve the issue.
Step 1:
- Click on the Gear icon.
- Pick Accounts and Settings.
- Tap Sales.
- Refer to the Sales form content and make sure that the Shipping box is checked.
Step 2: Check on your Custom Forms Styles section and make sure that the Shipping box is checked.
- Hit the Gear icon.
- Choose Custom Forms Styles.
- Select a template and click on the Content tab.
- Click on the upper section of the template.
- Under the Display portion, make sure that the Shipping box is checked.
Reach back out and let us know if these helped/worked for you and your business. I'll be waiting for your response!

I'll help you get back to work by sharing details on locating the+New icon, yottasky.
You can see the+ New icon in the upper-left corner of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Please see the screenshot below for reference:
Ifyou can't find the option, log in using a private browsing window or switch to adifferent supported browser to optimize your QuickBooks experience. Occasionally, the software may behave oddly and experience performance issues because of stored internet cache files. If this works, return to your usual browser andclear your browsing history to start afresh.
Refer to this article for guidance on personalizing QuickBooks templates and giving them a professional appearance:Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
You're always welcome to tag my name in your comments if you have other inquiries about accomplishing tasks in QuickBooks. I'll get back to you promptly. Have a good one.

What if there is no "Custom Forms Styles" section to click on?

Thank you for reaching QuickBooks Community. I'd be glad to help you in utilizing Custom Form Styles in QuickBooks Online.
Let's check if it's a browser-related issue. To begin, let’s open your account in a private window. Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use:
- Mozilla Firefox:CTRL + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge:CTRL + Shift + N
- Google Chrome:CTRL + Shift + N
- Safari: Command+ Shift + N
If the Custom form styles is available using a private mode, you can proceed toclearing your browser's cache. Otherwise, you can useother devices and supported browsersto ensure everything works as expected.
If you still can't find theCustom form styleoption, you may have aStandard all accessor a different user access role. If so, I recommend collaborating with your admin toadjust your access. Primary Admins can configure the user permissions for you to customize sales forms.
For further information, refer to this article:Add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, if you wish to personalize your QuickBooks templates you can check this out: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to reply if you need further assistance with customizing your invoices. I'll be looking forward to your response.
