Important:
- If another game card is unavailable to duplicate the issue, it is not possible to verify if the problem is with the system or with the game card.
- If it all possible, we strongly recommend testing your system using a second game card.
What to do
- Ensure your system has the latest system update installed.
- Check for any available software updates for the problematic game card.
- Dust or other foreign objects could be causing the game read issues with the problematic game card.
- Use a soft dry fabric, such as an eye glasses or screen cleaning cloth, and gently wipe down the game card. Use care so the game card isn’t damaged.
- Do not use liquids when cleaning your game card to prevent damage to it and the Nintendo Switch.
- Re-insert the game card.

- If the issue persists and another game card is not available to attempt to duplicate the issue, the system and the game card will need to come in for evaluation.
