- Nursing School Almanac ranks Utica College among best nursing programs in New York
Utica’s ABSN is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), assuring students a quality education from a trusted institution.
Utica College was recently named to Nursing School Almanac’s list ranking the best nursing programs in New York for its Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN). Placing 12th, Utica boasts a 90 percent first-time pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), an examination that looks to license nurses.
Utica’s ABSN is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), assuring students a quality education from a trusted institution.
The ABSN program is a 16-month, 62-credit program that allows students to complete both online nursing courses as well as hands-on labs and clinical rotations. The hybrid nature of the program provides students an opportunity to work online, as well as fulfilling the desire for a face-to-face education. With three locations –Syracuse, Tampa Bay, and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area - UC is unique in that students have opportunities for completion of this program outside of Utica.
Utica College’s ABSN program allows students to fast track their nursing education, with a curriculum that looks to build on non-nursing credits previously earned. Utica also offers an early admission option, as well as three varying start dates, which helps students avoid a wait list for nursing school.
