What happens if a seller refuses to refund Lazada? ›

What if a seller doesn't respond to or rejects my return request? A seller has 2 working days to approve/reject your return request. Failing which, your return request will be handled by Lazada as a dispute case.

Step 1: Click on the order in 'My Orders'. Step 2: Click on 'Return/Refund'. Step 4: Submit return request and wait for seller's response.

If you want to request a refund without returning the item, you can submit a Refund Only request. However, please note that the approval of a refund-only request depends on the seller or Lazada's review and decision. Please follow the instructions to submit your refund request via Lazada App.

Decline the return: You can decline the return request if you've stated in your listing that you don't accept returns. Send the buyer a message: If you have any questions regarding the buyer's request, you can contact them directly.

Get Outside Help. Contact your state attorney general or state consumer protection office. These government agencies might mediate complaints, conduct investigations, and take other action against those who break consumer protection laws.

In principle, Lazada will start processing the refunds after Lazada or the sellers have received the returned items and performed the quality checks. Refund Processing refers to the process for Lazada or the sellers to review customers' return and refund requests made through Customer Service or the Lazada App.

Refunds from cancelled orders - Refund is automatically triggered once cancelation is successfully processed. 2. Refunds from returns - Once your item is returned to the warehouse and QC is completed (successful), the refund is processed for the returned item. Sellers may initiate the cancellation while order is still under Pending/To Pack, or for reasons such as: out of stock; incorrect pricing; or sourcing delay. Note that seller initiated cancellation will result in penalties.

7.2 Unless otherwise stated, Lazada provides free returns shipping for customers initiating return requests. 8.1 It is customers' responsibility to ensure that the correct item is packed and returned, and where applicable, ensure complete set of gifts, accessories or peripherals.

Your refund will be processed within 48 hours and will be credited to your account within 5 to 15 business days, depending on your payment method, bank and/or financial institution. The refund amount will be the net amount paid (or store credit used) by you and will not include any voucher amount.

When your return or refund is rejected, you will see a Dispute action to click on in My Orders. A dispute agent will be assigned to the investigation and will attempt to come to a resolution within 5 business days.

Returnless refunds are when a company decides to offer a customer a refund without requiring the customer to return the item they ordered. Sounds counterintuitive, right? Interestingly enough, even retail giants like Amazon and Walmart have started using this model, particularly for lower-value items.

What to do next. If the business does not give you your refund, the recourse is now through your credit card provider. You can request that the charges on the card are reversed or cancelled – we also have a form available to help you through that process.

If the seller won't refund your money

There are other steps you can take to solve your problem - these include using 'alternative dispute resolution', which is a way of solving disagreements without going to court.

If the seller fails to respond within the given time frame, your request will be automatically approved and the refund will be processed accordingly. For approved returns, the seller may propose a partial refund (an adjusted refund amount) without the need to return the item.

If you've already paid for your order, your refund will be processed accordingly. See the table below for more details. It's crucial to activate Lazada Wallet as it is the designated refund destination if you paid through Online Banking. If you haven't paid, then you simply need to reorder.
