I applied for a preapproved card (Mission) that they said was highly probable that I'd get. If I applied and didn't get it, they would give me $50. I was concerned that it would effect my Fico, and was informed that it wouldn't effect my score. When going onto the application site for the credit card, I noticed that there was an amount of $50,000 already put into the income amount requested. I changed it to $25,000 (which is just about what I make annualy). Needless to say, I was denied. Credit Karma gave me a gift certificate in the amount of $50 to use at Amazon. However, my credit score dropped -1 point. The reason that I applied for the credit card was to try and bring up my FICO. Needless to say, at least they did fulfill the $50 commitment.

This was before they started offering $50 payment online from my understanding. Good Karma on them for being true to their words!

I hate credit Karma. They have been very hard to work with, so I use Affirm.

I received notification that I could consolidate my credit card debt with a credit card giving me a line of credit over 2-3 grand approximately, I was pre-approved for. This occurred this year. When I signed up for that credit card, it was through my bank, it was for much less than I was pre-approved for, $500, and the inquiry dropped my credit score. I called the credit card company and had them cancel the card. The amount would only add to my debt. How can this report I’m reading, affect me?

I see that when a list of “offers” pops up they are in the range of 30% term loans.

I was was told since I did not have credit that I was not able to get a credit card. Because they couldn't find my social security number on file to get information on me to find out what my status was so I didn't qualify for a credit card.

What the heck?! I received at least 20 credit check from them telling me I could raise my score with another credit card with a 90% probability of being accepted and was denied. Not only that I've been spammed to no end with emails of 100s of scammers trying to get my info by applying for credit. Where's my money for all of that!? You know Credit Sesame and the credit bureaus do the same thing right?
