National Theatre Live has announced an international broadcast of George Farquhar's wild comedy of love and cash 'The Beaux' Stratagem,' directed by Simon Godwin (Man and Superman), to cinemas internationally on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Photo Flash: First Look at Globe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS

Arthur Darvill, who is best known for his role as the Doctor's current companion Rory in BBC's Doctor Who, will play Mephistopheles in Shakespeare's Globe's first production of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. Paul Hilton, who was recently seen in the BBC drama Silk, will play the title role of the scholar who makes a pact with the devil in exchange for knowledge. The production will run from 18 June to 2 October and is directed by Matthew Dunster and designed by Paul Wills. They will both collaborate with Puppetry Director Steve Tiplady, former Artistic Director of Little Angel Theatre Company, to transform the Globe in to an arena of wild spectacle with larger than life puppets and illusion. Huge flying dragons and horned stilt walkers will help to bring this dark fantastical world to life.

THE SEAGULL Recoups on Broadway

The Royal Court Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Anton Chekhov's THE SEAGULL has fully recouped its capitalization costs, officially entering the hit column. THE SEAGULL, in a new version by Christopher Hampton and directed by Ian Rickson, is now in its final two weeks, concluding its limited engagement as scheduled on Sunday, December 21 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).

Carey Mulligan, who stars as Nina in the Royal Court Theatre's critically-acclaimed production of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, will be interviewed this weekend on NY 1 'On Stage.' 'On Stage' airs Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30 from 9:30 AM-10:00 AM, and again from 7:30 PM-8:00 PM.
