How to calculate a percentage rebate? ›

A Percent Rebate refers to the percentage of the original amount that is returned to the buyer as a rebate. It is calculated by dividing the total rebate amount by the original amount, then multiplying by 100 to get a percentage.

To calculate rebate under section 87A, calculate your gross income and subtract the available deductions under Sections 80C to 80U.

Discount Formula
