Since our first flight between Boston and Provincetown in 1989, Cape Air has provided year-round service to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
Shortly after that first flight, we expanded our service across southern New England to Hyannis, Nantucket, New Bedford, Martha’s Vineyard and Providence, RI. In 1993, we began offering flights between South Florida and the Keys and in 1998, our Caribbean route took flight. Finally, in 2004 we began service in Micronesia and added two new aircraft to our fleet, the ATR-42. These aircraft served our routes between Guam, Rota, and Saipan until the end of our Micronesia service in 2018.
Now, Cape Air operates a fleet of 83 Cessna 402s and 4 Britten-Norman Islanders, with up to 525 flights per day during high season. Last year Cape Air carried over 500,000 passengers, making us one of the largest regional airlines in the United States.
A new milestone was reached in September of 2019 when the Tecnam P2012 Traveller touched down at our Hyannis HQ to join the fleet. Equipped with the latest avionics from Garmin, the new G1000 Nxi and powered by two modern 375 HP Lycoming piston engines, the industry-changing Tecnam P2012 Traveller has been designed from the start to be a very versatile and flexible aerial platform.

Linda A. Markham is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Cape Air, leading over 700 employees in four regions worldwide. Cape Air, along with sister airline Nantucket Airlines, is the largest commuter airline in the United States, flying to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
Linda joined Cape Air in 2002 as the Director of Human Resources. She was instrumental in developing a strategic plan and building a team to support the airline's rapid expansion, focusing on operational excellence, growth, and sustainability.
In 2004, Linda was named Chief Administrative Officer and in 2013, Linda was promoted to President and named to the airline’s Board of Directors. In late 2021, Cape Air announced that Linda would serve as the airline’s CEO, effective January 1, 2022. Linda is the only female CEO of a major or regional airline in the United States, and is only one of two female airline presidents in the nation.
Passionate about the advancement of women in the industry, Linda currently serves as the Chairwoman for Women in Aviation International. Linda was the first woman to serve as Chair of the Board for the Regional Airline Association and currently serves on the Association's Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Linda is a past Board Chair for the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. In April of 2020, Linda was appointed to Governor Baker's State Reopening Advisory Board to address the COVID pandemic.
A native of Massachusetts, Linda resides on Cape Cod and loves to travel.
