For the iPhone 15 models, you can see where the iPhone is being assembled. The model number and country can be found at the USB-C connector.

There is no way to know where an iPhone was manufactured.
You can tell what country it was meant for sale in by the model number, but manufacturing location is not something Apple discloses.
Though in general Apple only manufactures iPhones in China, and more recently in India.

Why does it matter to some where an item is assembled? Some make a conscious choice to NOT purchase items from a particular country for political/business practices for each individual’s personal choices. Some may choose NOT to purchase from particular mfg or stores because of business practices such, child labor practices. We can take action and have our voice heard by these or similar actions. Of course we will not have total agreement on complicated global challenges as these.
This is a simplified response to your comment.

Why do you need to know where your phone was manufactured exactly? As has been said already in this thread, the model number does not identify where the phone was made.
It identifies where the iPhone was meant to be sold in. The model number you provide shows its meant for sale in North America (USA and Canada)
The "Sim Not Supported" message means its locked to a cellular / mobile service provider that is different to the one for the sim card you are using. The country it was manufactured in has nothing to do with it.
If the iPhone is locked to a specific carrier, you will need to contact them to get it unlocked.

Most iPhones are made in China. Some, mostly older models, are made in India or Vietnam. There is no way for anyone here to say specifically where your device was made.
Why is this important?

What does Manufacturing have to do with a sim error?
Please stop posting in an unrelated thread and start your own.
Please do not post your IMEI or serial numbers here.
When you do create your own post, please explain in detail what issue you are having.

Because there are no identifiers to tell you where the phone was manufactured. It would most likely have been assembled in China and more recently, iPhone are also being assembled in India.
Why is it important to know where the phone was assembled? It doesn't in any way effect the operation of the phone. For what country an iPhone was assembled would make a difference as their are regional difference in iPhone models.

That model number indicates the iPhone is meant for sale in Japan. It does not, as previously mentioned, tell you where it was manufactured (constructed, built, made).

As has been explained many times in the thread you replied to, there is no way to know where an iPhone was manufactured (constructed, made, built). You can know by the model number what country its supposed to be sold in as shown above.
Do you need to know where it was made? Or where it is meant to be sold?

In 15 series, just flip the phone and look inside the USB-C dock.
