Well!
There are many problems emerging time by time, solutions could be front of us but we cannot see it.
I believe many people follow the steps of "The Problem-Solving Technique" which simply are:
1.Identify the problem
2.Collect information and ideas
3.Evaluate the potential solutions
4.Implement the ultimate solution and measure it.
Yet satisfaction level is not that high, we are missing a potential space of creativity and being smart in such challenging market and economy, where the timing and acting fast are success keys.
If you have a problem why don’t just reverse it!
"Problem Reversal Technique", gives more space to be creative and change your focus and perception toward the problem.
Example for that; when COVID-19 break out increased in the world, students worldwide lost their abilities to access their schools.
If we follow the tradition method of thinking we would basically ask: "How can we make the students get back to schools?", if you reverse it, "How can we make schools get to students?", that’s how basically remote learning flourished! , simply the perception of problem solving process shifted from students to schools.
By changing the order of the words in your problem definition, you will be forced to look at the situation differently. While a ‘reversed’ challenge sometimes sounds odd and illogical, it often sparks much more creative solutions. - Hat Rabbits
If you want to boost the performance of your business, think alternatively what are the things that could destroy your business, and then reveres it!
Another example, imagine that you have a target to reach and visit all your customers this year, but you are suffering from staff shortage and cost constrains; you will normally ask "How I'm going to visit all my customers this year? reverse it, "How I'm going make all my customers visit me this year?".
E-events, where you can present all interesting updates of your business, and also get your instants poll-out and feedback from customers and stakeholders, will not only solve your problem but also will ring out your business name in this wide expanding media. Such, would add value and convert your mobilization cost to potential revenues, gain and appreciated Goodwill value.
Steps are simple:
1.Ask your question(Identify)
2.Reverse the words, (Reverse)
3.Change your focus(shift your perception)
4.Be creative!(Solve & Gain)
Revers position sounds not always odd!
