Facing the high-flying Miami Dolphins, the Baltimore Ravens are bolstering their defense! They've elevated two key players for Thursday night's clash: veteran defensive tackle Taven Bryan and undrafted rookie safety Keondre Jackson.
Bryan and Jackson aren't new to the game-day roster. Both were elevated in Week 8, contributing to Baltimore's decisive 30-16 victory over the Chicago Bears. Bryan, in his Ravens debut, saw action for 22 defensive snaps, though he didn't record a tackle. Jackson, however, made his presence felt on special teams, playing 20 snaps.
Bryan, a former first-round pick back in 2018, is now in his eighth season. He joined the Ravens' practice squad on September 24th. His addition to the defensive line is crucial. And this is where it gets interesting... The Ravens are aiming to contain Miami's potent running game, spearheaded by De'Von Achane. Achane leads the Dolphins with an impressive 539 rushing yards and four touchdowns, averaging a remarkable 5.0 yards per carry.
This is Jackson's third elevation this season. But here's where it gets controversial... After Thursday night's game, he'll need to be officially added to the 53-man roster to continue playing for Baltimore.
What do you think of these strategic moves by the Ravens? Will Bryan and Jackson make a significant impact against the Dolphins? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
