Question:
What are the reasons for an ATM to reject a deposit?
Answer:
There aren't too many.
- The item is inserted incorrectly or is somehow jammed in the intake mechanism.
- The ATM detects a fraudulent cash deposit (counterfeits)
- The cardholder doesn't bank with the bank owning the ATM or with another bank for which deposits are accepted in interchange by the ATM owning bank.
- The deposit amount exceeds a deposit amount maximum.
