If your recovery seed phrase has been lost, or if you think that yourrecovery seed phrasemight have been compromised, we recommend sending your funds to your other Trezor device as soon as possible (seeMaking payments).
If you own only one Trezor device, you can move your funds to a new wallet with a newly generated seed, but doing so safely is a relatively complicated process.

Lost your recovery seed
If you lost your recovery seed, but still have access to your wallet, you should move your funds elsewhere immediately. You can then wipe the Trezor device and create a new wallet with a new recovery seed.
It is recommended to have a spare Trezor device for situations like these. If you have time to do so, order the second Trezor device from theTrezor shop.
If you already have a spare Trezor, or once your new Trezor arrives please proceed with the steps described in the "You have mulitple Trezor devices available" section of this article.
Be sure to follow the instructions below carefully and always be sure to write down the recovery seed phrase carefully.
You will need:
- Your Trezor device
- A sheet of paper (an empty recovery cardornew backup recovery seed)
- A pen
If you are under time pressure, consider taking these steps:
1. Send you cryptocurrencies to a third-party compatible wallet.
Warning: by sending your cryptocurrencies to a third-party wallet, you are exposing your coins to a potentially dangerous environment. This should only be done in emergency situations.
