To reset theOneDrivedesktop sync app in Windows

1. Press theWindowskey andRto open the Run dialog box, enterwsreset.exe, then selectOK.

2. A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close. You can close the Microsoft Store window.

3. If OneDrive is still not syncing, press theWindowskey andRagain.

4. Copy the exact textbelow and paste it into the dialog window, then press OK.
   %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

   If you see a "Windows cannot find..." message, copy and paste the text belowinstead, then press OK.
   C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

   Note:If none of these steps work, you do not have the OneDrive sync app installed. Learn more.

5. Manually restartOneDrive by going to Start, type OneDrive in the search box, and then click on theOneDrivedesktop app.

To reset the OneDrive store app in Windows

1. PressStartand enter apps:onedrive

2. Select App settings

3. Scroll down the list and select Reset.

To reset OneDriveon a Mac

1. Selectthe OneDrive cloud icon in the top tray, then select Preferences> Pause > Quit OneDrive.

2. Find OneDrive in your Applications folder.

3. Control-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents.

4. Navigate to the Contents > Resources folder.

5. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command (or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you're using the standalone app).

6. Start OneDrive and finish the setup process.

   Notes:

   • When choosing location, remember to select the previous OneDrive syncing location. This means your files won’t be downloaded again if they haven’t changed.

   • If you had chosen to sync only some foldersbefore the reset, you will need to do that again once sync has completed. ReadChoose which OneDrive folders to sync to your computerfor more information.

   • You will need to complete this for your personalOneDriveand OneDrive for work or school.

   • Make sure you're using an updated version of the OneDrive app. Some older versions of the app don't have the reset commands. In that case, drag your old app to the Trash and then install the latest OneDrive app.

To reset OneDriveon Android

The best way to reset the app it to uninstall and reinstall it.

1. Open Settings.

2. Select Applications.

3. Tap Manage Applications.

4. Find and tap OneDrive.

The best way to reset the app it to uninstall and reinstall it.

1. Uninstall the OneDrive app by pressing and holding the OneDrive app icon. Tap the 'X' in the cornerand then accept the confirmation message to delete it.

2. Perform a “soft reset” by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. You can let go of both buttons after the Apple logo appears.

3. Reinstall the OneDrive app from the App Store.
