Synopsis
In the dark and seedy streets of Ybor City, Florida, Vampire Investigator Sammy Slick vows to rid the city of its blood sucking inhabitants once and for all. I saw the reviews for Sammy Slick and was almost scared away. Ha, who am I kidding? I am always up for a challenge and am happy to report that this is pretty good and exceeded my expectations. A tall, thin man with an unlimited supply of silver stakes, fights vampires who are kind enough to attack him one at a time, ultimately dispatching them in a flash of aggressively terrible video effects work. It’s tough to tell what’s going on in the one, as the dialogue levels are mixed waaaaay below the music and I didn’t have subtitles. This is Sammy Slick, and Ybor, Florida is lucky to have him protecting them from the local vampire population. There is a scene where the main character is talking about Cap’n Crunch, AND I WAS LITERALLY EATING CAP’N CRUNCH WHILE WATCHING!!! I feel so seen. Anyway, enjoyed this far more than anticipated. A lot of bloody fun.

Well color me surprised!!! I wasn't sure what I was getting into and frankly I was worried that I was in for another low budget stinker. It's certainly an ultra low budget flick, but it's got a fan film kinda charm to it instead of the usual "how sleazy can we get?" stuff.
Ariella Aegen & Klein Wong are fun to go on this adventure with and while it's limitations are there, it's funny and I enjoyed the watch. I'll be looking out for more from Aegen & Wong and filmmaker Christopher Leto.

A young vampire hunter([the Justin Long looking/the film's co-stun performer/co-producer] Klein Wong[SWAMP WOMAN,DEATHBLOW{2023}]) and his devoted young secretary([the film's fellow co-stunt performer]Ariella Aegon[THE INN{2024}]) team up to hunt after the female vampire owner(Barbora Sulova[PLAYING THROUGH,THE BEAST COMES AT MIDNIGHT]) of a local downtown stripper bar that is chock full of vampires in this Tampa,Florida lensed comedic vampire themed horror feature from writer/director/writer/co-executive producer Christopher Leto(THE CHEERLEADER SLEEPOVER SLAUGHTER,THE HOUSEWIFE SLASHER,CRAZY LAKE) that offers its fair share of nudity(at the stripper bar),gore,CGI generated vampire burnings,and all-out campiness as both Wong and Aegon deliver a believable on-screen chemistry that effectives work amid the cast's decent performances and Leto's slick helming that allow SAMMY SLICK:VAMPIRE SLAYER to be a pretty fun and enjoyable feature. With (the film's fellow co-stunt performer) D'Andre Noire(EASTER BLOODY EASTER) and Sushii Xhyvette Holder(PANDEMIC THIRST,ZED'S DEAD,KILL-CAM) as one of the bar's vampire strippers.

Scrolled through piracy sites to find some 2023 garbage and came across the first film to be made on a budget of a negative dollars.
What looks and feels like it was a p*rno, “Sammy Slick” is actually both the worst film I’ve ever seen and also the best thing in the world. Sammy Slick himself is hilarious and gets so really funny moments and Tony Shock stole the show. The poster as well is hilariously misleading and I love it, I hope everyone who made this gets to make millions.
