I have always used them for travel insurance but I've never actually had to make a claim in all these years. We're coming up to a dream vacation and at the last minute, it was decided that my daughter can't go due to health reasons. She was hospitalized several times last month and is absolutely devastating as it is for her not to go, it's just not happening and so I reached out to Allianz. Explain the situation and submitted my documentation and it was approved and the money was in my account in two days. And one of those days is not a weekday. I have never encountered such an outstanding level of customer service from any company. A travel insurance company. I was terrified at what this process would look like and they gave me immediate peace and comfort which will be always be grateful for.

On April 6, 2024, our flight from Lisbon to Newark was canceled a couple before departure. It was rescheduled 2 days later. Allianz paid me $200 per day ($400). The money was deposited in my checking account 24 hours after applying for the benefit. I had provided 2 emails from United Airlines stating the rescheduling of the flight

I purchased Basic Annual Insurance in 2023. Got almost 12 months without any issues and then had a Baggage delay in Feb. I created a claim and uploaded all necessary documentation. Company paid out next day which was shocking and a great surprise. I highly recommend their policies. Wish they had a few more customizable options but hey. I saw all the bad reviews so felt I needed to post my experience.

They refunded my tickets! I purchased two tickets to Fiddler on the Roof for December 30, 2023, which I could not attend because my mother had surgery and needs my help during her recovery time for the new few weeks. After reading all the negative reviews for Allianz ticket insurance, I was sure I was never seeing that money again. But they came through, and I wanted to share that. I'm not saying they're not out to scam people, or get out of paying insurance claims whenever possible, but they did cover the cost of my tickets, so if you have the right documentation apparently there's a chance.

Allianz Trip Insurance has been the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I’ve ever dealt with. When my family needed them, they failed miserably. It took them forever to process our claim, leaving us stressed and uncertain during an already difficult time. But the nightmare didn’t end there. After finally approving the claim, they managed to send the payment to the wrong address, despite being provided with the correct information multiple times. How can a company that claims to provide peace of mind be so careless and incompetent?
Their customer service was no better. We were given the runaround, had to deal with unhelpful and rude representatives, and supervisors who seemed indifferent to the urgency of our situation. The entire process was a mess from start to finish. Allianz Trip Insurance is a waste of time and money. They might eventually pay out, but the stress and hassle are not worth it. If you’re considering Allianz, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

This company is utterly unreliable and does not live up to its promises. I purchased travel insurance through Marriott Bonvoy, expecting a high level of reliability given Marriott's reputation. Unfortunately, I discovered that the service was disorganized and provided inconsistent answers to the same questions. The claims process was difficult from the start, and despite having all necessary documentation, they refused to cover my expenses from a Delta flight cancellation on July 22. They mistakenly attributed the cancellation to an unrelated Microsoft outage on July 19. My repeated attempts to escalate the issue to a supervisor were met with excuses that they were too busy. Overall, their customer service is unprofessional and unhelpful. I strongly recommend avoiding this travel insurance.

Purchased tickets for sporting event for several HS friends. Most live out of town so we get an Airbnb yearly and find things to do. Unfortunately, we were locked out because the lock failed mid-way through the trip and the owner had to send a locksmith. I filed the claim, it was denied.

You made a typo which short changed me $50. I had to deal with two foreign employees who would not help me. You would not give me an itemized accounting of the amount reimbursed. I still do not have the $50 you owe me. The foreigner said this would be resolved in two to three business days. Let me communicate with someone who has the authority to resolve my issue. Your customer service is nothing more than a bunch of call center foreigners trained to block customers from getting any type of help.

Over the years, I've purchased several annual travel policies from Allianz without ever needing to file a claim. Unfortunately, despite contacting Allianz customer service via their web contact form and by email (customerservice@allianzassistance.com) three or four times, I haven't received any acknowledgement or clarification on my question, so you can draw your own conclusion on their customer service. I will not renew the annual policy based on my experience.

Total waste of money. Wife had to have an emergency double mastectomy less than a week before "insured" event. I (her husband) am her primary care giver. Gave me the runaround on documents and then only cover her half. Lesson learned with this company.
