Can you send a boarding pass through text? ›

Unlike physical boarding passes which require customers to print, mobile boarding passes are accessible through text message images or mobile wallet. Mobile boarding passes delivered with text messaging avoids additional steps and is delivered directly to a customers' mobile device.

A mobile boarding pass is an electronic document on a personal mobile device that allows you to go through security and board your flight. It's generated and provided using our mobile channels on iOS, Android, and our mobile website.

Use WhatsApp rich media capabilities to send an e-ticket with a QR code in a WhatsApp message. Thanks to end-to-end encryption, sharing boarding passes is absolutely safe.

On your iPhone, open the Wallet app. Tap the pass or ticket that you want to share, then hold your iPhone a few centimeters from the top of the other person's iPhone. A glow will appear on both iPhones that indicates a connection is being made. Hold the devices near each other until the pass appears, then tap Share.

Non-logged in users on a multiple passenger reservation will need to visit a kiosk or print their passes on a desktop computer.

Make sure you never photograph your boarding pass. A lot of people will post photos of themselves with their boarding pass as a way to show off their activities. They do it to show their friends that they're traveling, but there are plenty of ways to show that without compromising your personal security.

Will my boarding pass be emailed to me? ›

If you check-in online prior to your flight, your boarding pass may be emailed to you for printing at home. You can also request a mobile boarding pass, a link for which will be emailed or texted to you.

Print at home: If your airline sends you a PDF of your paper boarding pass, you can print this at home or at your hotel. Print at an airport self-service kiosk: Many airports have self-service kiosks in the departures hall.
