How do I receive money transfers?
Recipients can receive money as a cash pickup, mobile money, home delivery, debit card deposit, or directly to a bank account, depending on the recipient's location. It's important to let the sender know your preferred method.
Your recipient doesn’t need to sign up to Remitly to receive money. However, the sender must create a Remitly account to send money.

How do I sign up for Remitly?
Signing up for Remitly is easy. We provide consistent exchange rates, a secure app and web-based platform, and fast delivery options.
- Select Join Now to sign up on the web, or download the Remitly app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Enter the country you're Sending from and Sending to and select Next
- Enter your email address and choose a password
- Select Join Remitly
What is the daily sending limit?
We limit how much you can send in 24 hours, 30 days, and 180 days. Find out more about send limits here. These limits are different depending on your location and your recipient’s location. Additional sending limits may apply depending upon your choice of payout partner or receiving location.
You can request an increase if you need to send more than your current limit. When requesting a limit increase, we may ask you to provide more information about how you use Remitly and payment details.
Can I use a debit card or credit card with Remitly?
Customers can use a debit card or credit card to pay for a transfer. All transactions using a debit card or credit card must include the following:
Expiration date
Name (matching Remitly profile)
CVV or CVC (three/four-digit number on the back)
We accept Visa and Mastercard in all sending countries and Maestro cards in the European Union and the UK. You can also use prepaid debit cards in the US, European Union, UK, Canada, and Australia. Lastly, an Interac card can be used in Canada. However, it must include a co-branded Mastercard or Visa logo, expiration date, and CVV or CVC.
How do I track my online money transfers?
Easily keep track of all money transfers with the Remitly website and app. Don't forget to sign up for notifications through email and SMS.
In the app, your transfer history will be on the home screen. On the web, sign into your account and select transfer history.
Notifications from Remitly
Notifications will let you know the progress of your money transfers. We can send messages to your email, mobile number, or push (Remitly app). All notifications from Remitly will include a transfer reference number.
